With the new SR5 Pro and SR5 Max, Sortimo offers vehicle racking systems of the highest standard. A patented hybrid construction combining high-strength aluminium and heavy-duty steel components reduces the system’s own weight and creates additional payload capacity. The SR5 Pro focuses on unobstructed loading space and quick access, whilst the SR5 Max prioritises maximum equipment versatility. Sortimo launches the next generation of its vehicle racking systems: Since calendar week 34, the company has been supplying its SR5 vehicle racking in the new SR5 Pro and SR5 Max versions. Two concepts, each tailored to different application profiles, combine a patented hybrid construction of high-strength aluminium and robust steel components with low weight, high stability and full integration into the Sortimo EcoSystem. The list price remains unchanged despite the technical advancements.
Lightweight construction without compromise
The technical basis for the new generation is Sortimo’s patented hybrid construction method. High-strength aluminium for drawers and shelving units reduces weight to a minimum. Robust steel side panels ensure the necessary force transfer to the vehicle structure in the event of a crash – something that pure aluminium cannot achieve. Extruded aluminium profiles on the shelving fronts are particularly impact-resistant and enhance durability and longevity. To implement this complex construction method cost-neutrally at the German production site, an investment was made in an automated production cell which joins the individual components using the clinching process.
The low unladen weight creates additional capacity for the payload and thus more space for tools, materials and equipment. Sortimo tests vehicle racking systems in loaded and realistic conditions and offers a 5-year guarantee.
Pro or Max: It all depends on the application
The SR5 Pro is designed for maximum use of space and the largest possible clear loading area. The open, slim design follows the contours of the vehicle, keeps the vehicle floor largely clear and allows quick access to tools and materials. This provides flexibility for users, who use their commercial vehicle as a mobile workplace whilst also carrying out a variety of transport tasks.
The SR5 Max really comes into its own where maximum flexibility in equipment is required. Its enclosed, compact design provides ample storage space and a wide range of options for organising tools, machinery and consumables to suit individual needs.
The SR5 Pro and Max are therefore two well-thought-out solutions to the varying demands of everyday professional life.
An EcoSystem for maximum productivity
The SR5 Pro and SR5 Max are fully integrated into the Sortimo EcoSystem. BOXXes and SR-BOXXes for tools and materials, ProClick for mobile use, ProSafe for load securing and the Sortimo Rail System (SRS) all work together seamlessly. In this way, the vehicle, its interior fittings and work equipment combine to form a comprehensive mobility solution.
